Job Summary

Manage high-level administrative and technical functions for the SCI President, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Chief Executive Officer. Coordinate calendar management, meeting/event logistics, travel arrangements, and expense processing for the CEO and board members. Oversee compilation of the Official SCI/SCIF Roster, verify membership data, and manage production and distribution of annual board mailings. Respond to staff and volunteer inquiries, assist with Convention registration, VIP seating, and hotel bookings. Represent SCI at Board Meetings, trade shows, and the annual convention, including booth setup, donor interaction, and cash handling for sweepstakes. Prepare draft agendas for Finance Committee calls and maintain intellectual property records. Requires advanced knowledge of executive policies, valid driver's license, and 25% travel including weekends and evenings.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license with ability to be insurable on SCI's policy
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software, to include OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams with an ability to become familiar with SCI-specific programs and software
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
  • Must be available for weekends and evenings as company events require
  • Must be located in San Antonio, TX
  • Must be available for up to 25% travel
  • Must be present in office (no remote work available)
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, hunting as an essential part of biologically sound and ethically responsible international wildlife management
  • Must have advanced knowledge of executive administrative policies and procedures
  • Must have a working knowledge of the SCI and SCIF Bylaws

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • Background in Event planning preferred
  • Experience providing support to executives or boards and committees preferred
  • Existing knowledge of SCI's current programs and mission
  • Passion about hunter's rights
  • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible
