Job Summary
Coordinate administrative, program, and office activities while overseeing support staff and managing financial transactions, including expense reimbursements and budget reconciliation. Provide editorial support for a journal or publication by proofreading, editing, and tracking manuscripts through production stages. Manage travel arrangements, schedule meetings, greet visitors, and screen telephone calls and mail. Determine facility and equipment needs for symposia and compile data into reports. Maintain complex calendars, organize events, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Required Qualifications
- Six years of related work experience
- Four of them in the same job family at the next lower level
- High school level education
- Four years of related work experience
- An Associate's degree
- Little or no work experience
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Equivalent combination of experience and education
- Demonstrated experience in handling administrative tasks such as scheduling
- Demonstrated experience supporting Otolaryngology specifically head and neck specialty
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service and interact professionally with diverse groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (word, excel, outlook)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Sound independent judgment
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
