Job Summary
Senior Administrative Assistant in Vascular Surgery supports faculty with high-level administrative duties, manages complex calendars, coordinates in-person and virtual meetings and surgeries, and assists with programs, projects, and initiatives. The role serves as a primary information source on policies and procedures, handles travel, events, and communications for leadership, creates reports from data in Excel, uses university systems for expenses and purchasing, and ensures document accuracy and compliance with university policies. Strong Epic Surgical Scheduling experience, exceptional written and oral communication, confidentiality, and professional customer service are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook calendar management.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with Epic Surgical Scheduling.
- Prior demonstrated proficiency working in an administrative support position in a medical/clinical environment.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Superior customer service skills; ability to provide compassionate service; clear understanding of confidentiality is essential.
- Demonstrated excellent attendance history, to be affirmed by references.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and a professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated strong telephone and office etiquette.
- Demonstrated patience, respect, and emotional control under pressure.
- Proficient computer skills including well developed knowledge of Microsoft Office with Outlook calendar management.
