Job Summary

Senior Addepar Data Engineer / Analyst to support and scale Brown Advisory’s Addepar data ecosystem, focusing on data engineering, platform analytics, data quality controls, automation, and integration across Addepar, Snowflake, Canoe, and client/reporting platforms. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining data pipelines, building SQL-based reconciliation and profiling routines, enabling data integration via Addepar APIs, collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions, validating performance and client reporting data, and maintaining documentation and production readiness. Must be able to work in the Baltimore office three days per week and possess a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of Addepar experience, strong SQL skills, data-management expertise, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Addepar platform in a wealth management, asset management, family office, investment advisory, or financial services environment
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, investment operations technology, financial systems support, platform analytics, or enterprise data operations
  • Strong understanding of the Addepar data model, including accounts, entities, ownership structures, portfolios, holdings, transactions, securities, classifications, attributes, benchmarks, performance, and reporting views
  • Experience supporting Addepar data imports, exports, data feeds, integrations, reconciliation processes, and platform configuration
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, data profiling, exception identification, reconciliation, and large-dataset analysis
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving data quality issues across portfolio, account, transaction, position, security master, performance, and reporting datasets
  • Strong understanding of wealth or asset management workflows, including portfolio management, investment operations, client reporting, performance reporting, alternative investments, and financial reporting
  • Experience translating business requirements into data requirements, technical specifications, data mappings, validation rules, and operating procedures
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, production deadlines, and high expectations for accuracy, reliability, and responsiveness
  • Ability to work in Brown Advisory’s Baltimore office three days per week
