Job Summary
Senior Actuarial Consultant to perform end-to-end actuarial reporting and valuation for Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) reporting across multiple lines of business and two legal entities. Responsible for annuity liabilities valuation and reporting for Fixed Indexed Annuity, Fixed Annuity, and Payout annuities; run GGY-AXIS models; provide back-end validation, management reporting, and enhancements to valuation methodology, controls, and procedures. Collaborate with Experience Study, ALM, Investment Management, Asset Modeling, and Liability Modeling; support BEL analytics, attribution analysis, and EBS projections; develop ALM dashboards and assist in regulatory filings; assist in onboarding of new transactions and establish policies and controls; work with auditors, regulators, and external partners; travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related field
- ASA or near ASA
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in insurance or finance, with prior experience in actuarial valuation, modeling, liability management, and/or risk management
- Deep knowledge on General Account liabilities, especially Fixed Indexed Annuity, Multi-year Guaranteed Annuities and/or Payout Annuities (strongly preferred)
- GGY AXIS or other actuarial modeling software experience (strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of U.S. Asset Adequacy Testing (Cash Flow Testing), EBS, and/or asset modeling (including asset-liability interactions) (preferred)
- Excel, VBA, Python, R and Microsoft Fabric programming/technical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-stakeholder collaboration
- Ability to travel ~10% (e.g., Bermuda if located in the U.S.)
