Job Summary
Senior Actuarial Analyst responsibilities include data preparation of premium, claim, and exposure data; performing actuarial analyses with advanced techniques; conducting reasonability checks to ensure data and methodology integrity; developing and updating actuarial tools; and communicating assumptions and results to internal and external clients. The role supports professional growth toward actuarial accreditation and involves working with tools such as Excel, Tableau, R, SAS, Python, and SQL, across a team focused on healthcare insurance analytics at Coverys, with base salary in the $105k–$123.5k range and locations primarily in Boston, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3 years of related experience and/or training required
- Minimum of 4 completed actuarial exams or modules with passing scores
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Tableau, R, SAS, Python or Microsoft SQL
Desired Qualifications
- Actuarial exams (minimum of 4 completed or modules with passing scores)
