SENIOR ACTUARIAL ANALYST

Job Summary
Conduct quarterly rate adequacy reviews, internal rate indicators, and reserve analyses including monthly IBNR rollforwards. Prepare rate filings for current and future states, interact with regulatory authorities, and assist in rule and rate manual preparation. Support pricing and reserving tools by advancing methodologies, designing new processes, and performing data cleansing, validation, and automation using SQL, Python, or R. Collaborate with accounting, external actuaries, and auditors to reconcile data and ensure accurate financial statements. Maintain robust data stewardship practices and document all calculations for peer review. Stay current on insurance environments and regulatory changes to improve work products.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of actuarial experience
- Successful completion of at least two (2) actuarial exams
- Commitment to continue towards ACAS /FCAS
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Effective presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
- Strong data and programming experience in an insurance environment
- Proficient knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar database languages
- Proficient knowledge of R, Python, VBA, or similar programming languages
