Job Summary
Build, clean, transform, and analyze operational Claims data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Deliver insights and recommendations to optimize claims operations and influence Claims initiatives. Automate workflows in the data science platform to increase efficiency and ensure accuracy. Identify opportunities to accurately pay claims indemnity and reduce expenses. Conduct competitive analysis by benchmarking performance against the industry to identify competitive advantages. Collaborate with partners across Claims, Corporate Actuarial, Pricing, Data Science, Underwriting, and Risk. This role supports the Claims Analytics team within Finance at Aviva Canada, working directly with operations to shape how the company works.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or related field
- Actively pursuing actuarial exams with minimum of 3-5 exams completed
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Python and SQL
