Senior Acoustic Consultant

Job Summary
Manage and deliver environmental noise and acoustics projects from initial scoping through to final reporting, including undertaking surveys, developing SoundPLAN models, and preparing technical reports. Provide technical advice on noise impacts and regulatory compliance while liaising directly with clients, regulators, and project teams. Oversee project budgets, programmes, and deliverables, and support junior team members. Contribute to business development and proposal preparation to grow WKC's UK acoustics offering. Collaborate with colleagues across UK and international offices on multidisciplinary projects.
Required Qualifications
- BSc in a Scientific, Engineering or Acoustics related field
- At least 5 years' relevant professional experience in environmental acoustics or noise consultancy
- Advanced proficiency in SoundPLAN
- Strong knowledge of noise regulations and standards such as BS 4142, BS 5228, CRTN, ISO 9613 etc
- Experience undertaking environmental noise surveys
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical report writing and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing projects, budgets and deadlines
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
