Job Summary
Senior Accounting Specialist in LEGO Group General Ledger within LEGO Business Service Operations (BSO) in Prague. Core responsibilities include reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations with explanations and corrective actions, completion and review of reporting and audit requirements for company-related and third-party purposes, approving journals with proper coding and alignment to local accounting standards, performing variance analyses to ensure accuracy, supporting internal, statutory and tax audits, coordinating with auditors, and maintaining adherence to reporting rules and tax requirements. The role requires significant finance experience (+2 years), SAP proficiency, strong analytical and communication skills in English, and experience with statutory financial statements. The team emphasizes high-quality, compliant ledger processes and collaboration with internal and external partners; the group operates with a hybrid work policy (average 3 days in the Prague office).
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience working in a Finance function
- +2 years of relevant experience gained in a similar role
- Experience with an enterprise-wide accounting software system, preferably SAP
- Microsoft Office at experienced level
- Analytical and a focus on high-quality actions
- Strong written and spoken English
- Audit experience is an advantage
- Experience with preparation of statutory Financial Statements
- Ability to independently resolve moderate to complex problems
- Hybrid work policy means an average of 3 days per week in the office
