Senior Accounting Manager

Job Summary
Lead a team of accounting professionals by mentoring staff, coaching for performance, and fostering a culture of accountability. Own and drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Research and apply complex accounting standards, prepare technical memos, and assess the impact of new pronouncements in compliance with U.S. GAAP. Design internal controls, identify gaps, and implement remediation plans to strengthen financial reporting integrity. Partner cross-functionally with line-of-business finance teams to support operational decision-making and ensure accurate financial representation of business initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (U.S. GAAP required)
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage and improve the month-end close process
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven mindset
Desired Qualifications
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and process automation tools is a plus
