Job Summary
Senior Accounting Manager at ŌURA responsible for end-to-end inventory accounting and COGS across a global, public-scale organization. Lead policy design and judgment-based estimates (E&O, warranty reserves), own month-end close, variance analysis, and audit support. Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Product, FP&A, and Finance Systems; drive the finance transformation roadmap for inventory accounting, including ERP optimization, data integrity, and automation. Manage internal controls and SOX readiness; serve as primary advisor to external auditors on inventory and COGS matters. Lead and develop the accounting team, support ad-hoc strategic initiatives, and influence C-suite stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership across full accounting cycles, including inventory, COGS, and judgment-based estimates
- Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP inventory accounting, cost flows, reserves, and estimation methodologies
- Experience with Big 4 accounting firms and CPA required
- Experience in a finance or inventory accounting leadership role at a public company is strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance related to inventory existence and valuation
- Experience in CPG, hardware, or technology-enabled manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience optimizing ERP systems, including inventory modules (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle)
- Proven people leader with experience developing teams and driving change through influence and collaboration
- Demonstrated success implementing scalable processes, systems enhancements, and automation
