Job Summary
Lead accounting and financial reporting for Cigna's partnership investment portfolio, overseeing quarterly and annual GAAP and statutory deliverables while reviewing complex transactions for appropriate treatment. Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, and control effectiveness, partnering with Global Operations to transition activities and standardize workflows. Implement automation, AI-enabled solutions, and emerging technologies to enhance reporting processes and reduce manual activities. Lead a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while managing competing priorities across Investment Front Office, Technology, and Finance teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience leading teams and managing complex accounting processes
- Strong analytical, communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with partnership investments, alternative investments, or insurance investment accounting
- Knowledge of statutory accounting and insurance industry reporting requirements
- Experience implementing accounting systems, investment subledgers, or finance transformation initiatives
- Experience working with global operations or shared service organizations
- Internet connection obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
Desired Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent professional certification
- Familiarity with automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled technologies
