Job Summary
Senior Accounting Consultant / Technical Controller sought to anchor the accounting function during growth, focusing on technical GAAP judgment, lease accounting (ASC 842), fixed assets capitalization, and robust controls. Lead technical reviews of complex transactions and financing arrangements, manage month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations with elevated controls, prepare audit-ready documentation, and partner with leadership to map accounting requirements to a new system migration. Requires deep hands-on US GAAP expertise, experience with lease accounting and asset capitalization, proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks Online (NetSuite preferred), and the ability to operate in a fully remote environment. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication for interaction with management and external auditors are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Financial Auditor, or Assistant Controller
- Experience with US GAAP, ASC 842, and complex capitalization policies
- Strong Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks Online; NetSuite preferred
