Job Summary
Senior Accounting Associate at UHY Axon Group (Athens) responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate clients, delivering end-to-end accounting and tax services, including VAT returns, Corporate Income Tax returns, and financial statements, while ensuring compliance with Greek accounting standards and tax regulations. Role includes supporting external audits, building advisory client relationships, improving processes, and mentoring/judging junior staff. Requires 4+ years in accounting, a relevant degree, Class B Accountant License, proficiency in Greek and English, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with VAT and corporate tax work. One day per week from home is available as part of a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of accounting experience, ideally in an accounting firm.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Class B Accountant License (Άδεια Λογιστή Β' Τάξης) - required. Class A is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience with VAT returns, Corporate Income Tax returns, and financial statements.
- Strong accounting software and Excel skills; familiarity with Epsilon Net is a plus.
- Fluent Greek and English, written and spoken.
- A sharp eye for detail, the ability to juggle multiple clients without dropping deadlines, and the judgment to flag problems early and bring solutions.
