Job Summary
Prepare and record revenue accounting entries as part of the monthly close process for LandBridge operations within the Delaware Basin. Reconcile revenue accounts and capex sub-ledgers to the general ledger, resolving variances and supporting fixed asset reporting. Track capital expenditure components, perform overhead cost analysis including allocation and variance review, and prepare month-end journal entries and supporting schedules. Assist with account reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and ad hoc project work while maintaining alignment with internal controls. Meet monthly deadlines related to the internal accounting close calendar and work directly with stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, revenue accounting, or capital accounting
- Experience in the oil and gas industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Workday
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to gather and analyze information
- Ability to resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, revenue accounting, or capital accounting is highly preferred
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred
- Knowledge of Workday is highly preferred
