Job Summary
Senior Accountant with a Systems Analyst mindset to lead accounting operations across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report in a high-growth SaaS environment. Own accounting systems, integrations (NetSuite, Maxio, Airbase), and data infrastructure; drive automation to improve reconciliation, cycle times, and reporting. Role emphasizes evaluating and redesigning processes, producing reliable financial outputs, and partnering with cross-functional teams. Based in Phoenix, reports to the VP of Accounting, with responsibilities spanning contract reviews, billing handoffs, AR, AP, and close processes, while leveraging AI-enabled tooling for efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in a SaaS or tech company environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
- Working knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite; familiarity with Maxio and Airbase is a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability to improve accounting systems and workflows
- Comfort using AI and automation tools to improve outputs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable, collaborative self-starter in a dynamic, high-growth environment
- Ownership mindset and ability to propose improvements to systems and processes
- Curiosity and initiative to question workflows and identify root causes
