Job Summary
Senior Accountant responsible for general ledger analysis, project accounting and controlling, and financial reporting; develop internal controls and ensure adherence to internal controls; assist with tightly scheduled monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. Conduct balance sheet and income statement analysis; monitor project financials; manage assets under construction and fixed assets; perform fast close month-end duties; prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders; prepare audit schedules and assist with audit processes; assist with budgeting and forecasting; support property tax valuations and related accounting tasks; manage accounting for income taxes in compliance with regulations; take on special projects as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and 8+ years of experience; IAS expertise; SAP experience; advanced Excel skills; public accounting experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 8 or more years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience communicating with various departments
- Proficient knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS)
- Experience with SAP (General Ledger, Controlling, Project System, Sales, and Purchasing Modules) is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications required
- Public accounting experience is a plus
