Job Summary
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accurate month-end close processes through journal entries for revenue, sponsorship, and event settlements. Oversee fixed asset accounting, manage sponsorship revenue schedules, and track concert expenses and staffing budgets by monitoring actuals and variances. Assist in preparing the annual operating budget, reporting to tax authorities, and collaborating with external audit teams for clean GAAP, NBA, and NHL audits. Support evening work as needed based on event schedules.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree with a focus in Accounting
- 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting
- Experience with month-end closing
- Experience with audit preparation
- Experience with fixed asset management
- Experience with FP&A
- Experience with budgeting/forecasting
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively amongst teams and stakeholders
- Ability to support evening work as needed based on event schedules
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience within sports, entertainment, media or large venue operations
- A CPA or CMA designation
