Job Summary
Senior Accountant role focusing on General Ledger ownership, balance sheet reconciliation, and intercompany accounting within a multi-entity environment. Responsible for high-volume journal entries, accruals, prepaids, error corrections, detailed reconciliations, IFRS adherence, audit support, and collaboration with stakeholders across finance. Requires CPA designation (completed or in progress), 2–4 years of accounting experience with at least 1 year at senior level, advanced Excel, and ideally Power BI. Hybrid work arrangement in Okotoks, Alberta, with a strong emphasis on ownership, analytical rigor, and proactive problem-solving.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA designation completed or actively in progress
- 2–4 years of progressive experience in a hands-on accounting role
- At least 1 year of experience operating at a Senior Accountant level
- Experience in a multi-entity, multi-business-unit environment is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavier month-end workload
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across finance teams
- Proactive, self-starting mindset with ownership and accountability
- Demonstrates persistence in investigating and resolving issues
