Job Summary
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries, general ledger review, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting deliverables. Prepare management reporting, variance analysis, and corporate consolidation inputs to support timely and accurate reporting. Support India GAAP and US GAAP expectations, statutory accounting, tax compliance, audit requirements, and regulatory submissions. Maintain accounting processes, controls, and documentation that support a scalable, audit-ready finance function. Identify opportunities to standardize processes and strengthen the quality and reliability of finance deliverables. Work closely with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate finance teams on audits, compliance reviews, and process standardization. Communicate clearly with local business teams and global finance stakeholders to support effective decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Strong working knowledge of India GAAP, US GAAP, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit requirements
- Experience with ERP/reporting systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong English communication skills
- Location Mumbai area, India
- Ability to work effectively with local business teams and global finance stakeholders
- Ability to work closely with local business teams and global finance stakeholders
- Occasional travel for business needs, audits, or meetings
Desired Qualifications
- CA, Cost Accountant, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
- Experience in a multinational, manufacturing, industrial, water, infrastructure, or technical product/service environment
- SAP, Infor LN/Baan, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, or similar tools
