SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary
Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements while maintaining the general ledger and performing monthly close journal entries. Own fixed assets and lease accounting journal entries, balance intercompany transactions, and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting across multi-state operations. Assist the CFO and Accounting Manager with drafting accounting policies, assembling close schedules, and providing process improvements to streamline the monthly financial close. Gather documentation for outside auditors and support M&A integration activities.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
- Highly proficient with accounting software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Three to five years of accounting experience
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
