Senior Accountant

Job Summary
Maintain accurate inventory records, perform reconciliations, and analyze operational costs within SAP and the general ledger. Review inventory adjustments, GR/IR discrepancies, and tariff-related accounting to ensure proper valuation and financial reporting. Support month-end and year-end close activities, prepare financial insights for management, and drive continuous process improvements in inventory and cost accounting. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Procurement, and Finance teams to strengthen internal controls and resolve outstanding issues. This role is based in Houston, TX, in a hybrid environment with a minimum of two days in the office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Hands-on experience in revenue recognition
- Experience in cost accounting
- Experience in inventory accounting
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Experience with inventory management processes
- Experience with procurement processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with large and complex datasets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated
