Job Summary
Senior Accountant to support Tacoma-based general accounting team in a 4-6 month consulting capacity with potential extension or permanent hire. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, completing monthly close processes, analyzing financial statements and variances, compiling audit PBC requests, maintaining fixed assets systems and depreciation, assisting with financial planning and long-term projects, and performing additional accounting duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 5+ years of accounting experience, GAAP proficiency, ERP software experience (Oracle, SAP, Netsuite, Dynamics), strong Excel skills, and experience in either a shared services or not-for-profit environment. Onsite in Tacoma with some schedule flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- GAAP knowledge
- Experience in a shared service environment is helpful
- Fixed asset management including depreciation
- Strong Excel skills with at least 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Office
- Proficient in ERP/Accounting software (Oracle, SAP, Netsuite, Dynamics), data import/export
- Experience in not-for-profit space is desired but not required
- Team-oriented communication and collaboration
