Job Summary
Senior Accountant in SPS Commerce's Global Controllership team, based in Breukelen, Netherlands, with hybrid work (1 day per week in the Breukelen office). Lead a robust month-end close under US GAAP and IFRS, review WIP and foreign currency transactions, intercompany recharges, reconciliations, and high-quality journal entries, ensuring US SOX-compliant processes. Prepare annual reports for European regulatory bodies, review VAT, payroll-related journals, and coordinate with HR/payroll in the US. Requires HBO-level economics training, 6+ years in an international accounting environment, fluency in Dutch and English, Oracle experience is a plus, and strong Excel skills. The role emphasizes collaboration, meticulous accounting, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
Required Qualifications
- HBO education (Economic direction)
- 6+ years of relevant international accounting experience
- Strong experience with US GAAP and IFRS
- Affinity with IT; Oracle experience an advantage
- Excellent command of Dutch (oral and written) and English
- Highly collaborative communication style, proactive
- Excellent organizational skills, analytical abilities, attention to detail
