Job Summary
Senior Accountant leading the European Accounting team within a global SaaS company, supporting US GAAP and IFRS close processes, multi-element revenue recognition, VAT and regulatory reporting, and payroll coordination. Hybrid role based in Breukelen, Netherlands, with responsibility for month-end close, intercompany recharges, WIP review, reconciliations, and cross-functional collaboration with US and European finance teams. Requires 6+ years of international accounting experience, HBO/bachelor-level education, fluency in English and Dutch, strong Excel skills (pivot tables), and familiarity with Oracle; experience with US GAAP and IFRS and SOX is essential.
Required Qualifications
- HBO education (Economic direction)
- 6+ years of relevant international experience
- Strong experience with US GAAP and IFRS
- Affinity with IT, Oracle is an advantage
- Excel proficiency including pivot tables
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Collaborative communication and proactive mindset
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
- Experience reviewing journal entries for accuracy and policy compliance
