Senior Accountant

Job Summary
Prepare month-end financial statements and support the monthly close by accurately recording expenses, accruals, and prepaids. Apply lease accounting (ASC 842), revenue recognition (ASC 606), and fixed asset knowledge while assisting with billing processes and managing the Brex expense platform. Provide day-to-day support for external audits and prepare quarterly Commercial Rent Tax returns. Leverage AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to improve workflow efficiency and stay current with accounting standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate expense allocation and identify trends in accounts. This role is remote based in Montreal and requires a CPA with 3+ years of experience in multi-location accounting.
Required Qualifications
- CPA
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with prepaids, lease accounting, revenue, fixed assets, and debt
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- U.S. GAAP
- Strong Excel proficiency
- Experience supporting a multi-location and/or multi-entity business
