Job Summary
Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting at Walker & Dunlop responsible for supporting external financial reporting and SEC filings, including preparation of forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and Proxy Statements, disclosures and subsidiary/company financial statements; work closely with internal teams and external auditors to ensure GAAP compliance, accuracy of reporting, and process improvements including automation and AI-enabled solutions. Requires Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 3+ years of Big Four audit experience, proficient Excel, and familiarity with GAAP; exposure to Oracle NetSuite is a plus; role includes collaboration across departments and adherence to reporting controls. Hybrid schedule with in-office days in Bethesda, MD and remote option on Mondays and Fridays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of audit experience with a Big Four public accounting firm
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Experience with external financial reporting and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) preferred
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; experience with Oracle NetSuite preferred
- Ability to collaborate with external auditors and cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
