Job Summary
Senior Accountant, Revenue is responsible for overseeing revenue accounting, recognition under IFRS 15, and revenue assurance within the Finance Shared Services organization. The role ensures accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and optimization of revenue streams across reporting entities. Collaborates with Billing, Commercial, and Financial Planning & Analysis to drive revenue growth and integrity. Key duties include overseeing revenue recognition, daily posting of customer deposits, managing a team of Revenue Accountants and Cash Application Specialists, driving revenue assurance to mitigate leakage, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely revenue realization, reconciling revenue accounts, developing controls to improve reporting accuracy, supporting month-end/year-end close, analyzing pricing and contract terms, ensuring regulatory and tax compliance, and implementing automation to streamline revenue workflows.
Required Qualifications
- CPA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA certification required
- 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, financial reporting, or similar role within the telecommunications industry preferred
- Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles
- Experience with revenue assurance methodologies and best practices
- Proficiency in NetSuite and revenue management tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience in a shared services environment is an advantage
- Lead and develop a team of six finance professionals
