Job Summary
Senior Accountant, Revenue Accounting in Arlington, VA. Responsible for preparing workpapers for revenue recognition under ASC 606, ensuring accurate and timely revenue reporting, and interpreting customer contracts for proper accounting treatment. Collaborates with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Product to evaluate revenue implications of new business models, pricing, and product offerings; drives process improvements in revenue recognition, billing, and reporting; ensures internal controls related to revenue processes; coordinates with external auditors for revenue-related audits; supports monthly and quarterly revenue close; leverages Oracle Fusion to automate revenue accounting processes and scale revenue operations for global growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience working in or auditing large international public companies
- Knowledge in ASC 606 and revenue recognition within SaaS/software and eCommerce business models, including subscription-based revenue streams
