Job Summary
Senior Accountant, Reinsurance at National Life Group. Responsible for supporting reinsurance settlements and ledger close, preparing/reviewing journal entries for complex ledgers, validating data from internal and reinsurers, and pursuing process improvements with standardization and automation. Collaborates across Financial Reporting, Risk Management, Legal, Internal Audit, IT, and Operations; supports audits and regulatory reporting; leverages emerging technologies including generative AI to improve reporting efficiency and control effectiveness. Emphasis on internal controls and cross-functional partnership in a fast-growing life-insurance environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Three to five years of accounting experience, ideally within insurance or public accounting sectors.
- CPA preferred
