Job Summary
Execute month-end journal entries, including accruals and amortization, and generate required reports. Review and manage property financials, collaborating with departments to resolve discrepancies. Oversee property tax activity by monitoring assessed values, recording accruals, and ensuring timely payments. Analyze lease agreements to identify accounting terms, maintain records in Excel, and facilitate new property onboarding in JDE Oracle. Facilitate year-end audit processes by preparing audit packets and addressing auditor requests. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide training, conduct detailed financial variance analysis, and develop annual real estate budgets. Deliver updates and insights into accounting and real estate leadership on financial matters.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' accounting experience
- Property Management or Lease Accounting experience
- Four-year accounting degree
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Close vision
- Ability to adjust focus
