Job Summary
Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules while participating in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities. Analyze financial results to explain account variances and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls. Support internal and external audit requests, assist with financial statement preparation, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations. Review production order settlements and manufacturing postings within SAP to uphold SOX compliance and documentation standards. This role requires a CPA and 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, typically involving a full-time schedule with on-call rotation. RBC Bearings offers a competitive benefit package.
Required Qualifications
- BS or BA degree in accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment
- CPA required
- SAP experience
- Possess a strong general accounting knowledge, including GAAP and related principles and practices
- Sound business judgement and ability to synthesize, analyze, and extract implications from data
- Ability to frame unstructured and complex analytical problems to a broad audience
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to regularly interface with executive management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, & Word
Desired Qualifications
- Big Four experience preferred
- Public company and Aerospace & Defense Industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with SAP S/4 Hana and Analytics Cloud is a plus
- CPA and SAP
- Strong business acumen and financial analysis capabilities
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and compliance management skills
