Senior Accountant, Program Accounting

Job Summary
Prepare calculations and payments for the Company while maintaining work papers for prepaid and accrual accounts. Enter monthly journal entries, ensure balance sheets are accurately stated and reconciled to the general ledger, and research variances to determine root causes and recommend adjustments. Research contracts and regulations for proper regulatory payments, review financial statements for operating trends, and develop automated Oracle routines to streamline processes. Act as a resource for colleagues and exercise independent judgment in matters of significance. Requires 5-7 years of experience, a Bachelor's Degree, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules.
