Job Summary
Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, and maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Reconcile records with internal employees, management, and vendors while supporting accounts payable processing. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy, and assist with annual audits. Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records dealing with finance business transactions. Meet schedules and deadlines to ensure financial information is reported accurately and on time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Some travel required; 10% ability to travel via commercial air/driving
- Ability to lift 10 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- CPA or MBA
- Public accounting experience
- Proven ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and identify solutions
- Strong understanding of financial metrics, ratios, statements, and other measures
- Experience in project management and driving process improvement
- Ability to adapt to changes in processes, procedures and priorities
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate, prioritize, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in accounting ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention-to-detail, organizational skills, time management skills, and proven ability to meet deadlines with thorough follow through
- Acts with integrity, including handling confidential and sensitive information
