Senior Accountant

Job Summary
Senior Accountant responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records across multiple Ammega entities in the Americas, leading month-end close and reconciliations, supporting inventory and cost accounting, audits, and continuous improvement; collaborates cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, FP&A, Treasury, IT, and Tax to deliver high-quality financial information and reporting, maintain IFRS-compliant ledgers, and ensure internal controls and timely management/ad hoc reporting; requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA or MBA preferred) with at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience; positions located in Canada (Edmonton or Mississauga) with hybrid work; strong attention to detail and analytical skills, proficiency with ERP systems and Excel, and ability to work with multiple business entities and audit processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and IFRS
- Experience with inventory and cost accounting strongly preferred
- Prior experience working with multiple ERP systems preferred
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize competing deadlines
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with financial systems and reporting tools preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
