Senior Accountant - Operations

Job Summary
Record and report financial results by preparing monthly journal entries, financial statements, and balance sheet reconciliations. Perform month-end closing duties including cost calculations, validating inventory balances, and conducting fluctuation analysis of COGS and margins. Lead inventory audit activities by establishing schedules for physical and cycle counts, coordinating external services, and evaluating internal controls. Develop and analyze key inventory performance indicators while explaining fluctuations in inventory levels to stakeholders. Recommend process improvements and workflow efficiencies, such as expanding point-of-sale software use. Assist in preparing annual budgets for select areas and ensure sales tax compliance in the purchase order system. Complete special projects and prepare ad-hoc reports as requested.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Bachelor's degree - Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management
- Minimum of 3 years of related accounting/finance experience
- Industry Experience - Financial Services, Hospitality, Public Accounting
- Must have a valid Drivers' License
- Ability to communicate and advocate accounting positions
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, and ability to use these tools to create efficiencies
- Experience with financial accounting software and reporting tools
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
