Job Summary
Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledger integrity, and analyze account activity to prepare accruals, deferrals, and month-end adjustments. Conduct account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Generate recurring and ad hoc financial reports for management, support internal and external audits, and assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting. Identify process improvement opportunities, streamline accounting workflows, and support ERP system implementations and optimizations. This role offers broad exposure across general ledger, inventory, and financial reporting within a collaborative manufacturing finance team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or distribution
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Manufacturing, industrial, or equipment industry experience
- Inventory and cost accounting exposure
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process efficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working within an ERP system; implementation or conversion experience is a plus
- ERP implementation or system optimization experience
