Job Summary
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP and STAT financial statements, including journal entries and reconciliations. Lead the month-end and year-end close process while maintaining the general ledger and resolving discrepancies. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, and prepare schedules for internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies, and mentor junior accounting staff. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting procedures and support business initiatives. Serve as the primary point of contact for all recruitment-related inquiries across the company.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 4 + years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with STAT reporting is preferred
- Experience using ERP, experience in NetSuite and Sage a plus
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- Public accounting experience is a plus
