SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary
Senior Accountant at Saratoga Casino Hotel responsible for month-end closing, general ledger reconciliations, variance analysis, budgeting processes, assisting with audits (including Financial, Workers Compensation, Insurance, and New York State Gaming Commission), overseeing bank reconciliations, asset and capital expenditure schedules, AP/AR, inventory and cost of goods sold calculations, maintaining internal controls, and supporting department policies while supervising staff; role requires lifting up to 30 lbs and availability to work weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- A minimum of three (3) years progressive Accounting experience is required
- Experience supervising and staff development is preferred
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2003 or greater is required
- Experience with accounting and purchasing software (Great Plains and Stratton Warren) a plus
