Senior Accountant

Job Summary
Provide accounting support for regional operations, including heavy involvement in the month-end close process and preparation of monthly accruals across multiple plant operations. Work with plant personnel to ensure transactions are properly recorded, reconcile balance accounts, and prepare timely management reporting. Collaborate with regional management on analysis of operating results, perform standard and ad-hoc analysis, and evaluate procedures to drive process improvements. Support internal and external audit requests while monitoring compliance with policies. This role requires a self-starter with strong communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or relevant accounting experience
- Minimum of 5 year of relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with CPA/Masters degree
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be a quick learner
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational and time management ability
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity
- Ability to travel on occasion (5%)
