Senior Accountant

Job Summary
Provide accounting support for regional operations, including month-end close processes and monthly accruals across multiple plant operations. Work with plant personnel to ensure transactions are properly recorded and prepare timely, accurate management reporting. Reconcile balance accounts and perform standard and ad-hoc analysis while evaluating procedures for process improvements. Support internal and external audit requests and monitor compliance with policies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, five years of relevant experience, and GAAP knowledge. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, with JD Edwards desirable. Ability to travel on occasion (5%).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Relevant accounting experience
- Minimum of 5 year of relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- CPA
- Masters degree
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Self-starter
- Quick learner
- Ability to work independently

- Minimal supervision
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
