Job Summary
Senior Accountant (m/w/d) at Vistra with hybrid work model in Cologne or Munich. Responsibilities include administration, bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements for Germany entities (German GAAP/HGB, Datev); assist in monthly/quarterly/year-end closings; prepare interim accounts; liaise with clients and other offices; support audits and VAT/CIT returns; support preparation of financial reports (Local GAAP, US GAAP or IFRS); coach and mentor team members; develop relationships with clients and third parties; ensure deadlines are met; follow internal procedures.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting/Finance
- ACCA-qualified or part qualified would be a distinct advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a professional services firm
- Strong experience working with German GAAP is required
- Extensive hands-on experience with HGB in daily accounting work is required
- Practical experience with Datev is required
- Basic knowledge of German VAT law is required
- Previous experience working in a tax consultancy firm in Germany is required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong relationship management skills
- Proactive with a client service oriented attitude
- Ability to develop and grow our commercial business activity
