Job Summary
Own and coordinate federal, state, and local tax compliance, including income, sales, use, property, and franchise tax filings, while managing calendars, registrations, and nexus monitoring. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple legal entities, handling journal entries, reconciliations, eliminations, and foreign currency accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Support equity accounting for stock-based compensation, 409A valuations, and cap table reconciliations, and prepare documentation for financial statement and statutory audits. Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Payroll, and external advisors to resolve entity-level matters and identify opportunities to automate and standardize processes. Requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with CPA eligibility preferred. Hybrid work environment (3 days in office per week) with competitive salary and equity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful tax, compliance, and general ledger experience
- Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, and consolidated financial reporting
- Experience working with external tax advisors and auditors and independently managing deadlines and deliverables
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a process-improvement mindset
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to foreign currency and equity accounting is strongly preferred
- CPA or CPA eligibility/progress toward certification preferred
