Job Summary
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for assigned real estate portfolios, preparing GAAP financial statements and lender/investor reporting. Review property-level financials for accuracy, analyze results with variance analysis, and maintain portfolio data within Yardi. Support investment-level audits by creating schedules and responding to auditor requests while partnering with internal teams to resolve issues and enhance accounting policies. Mentor staff accountants and contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives. This role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting with 3–7 years of experience, including audit or tax background, and offers an annual base salary of $90,000–$115,000 with a discretionary bonus program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior audit and/or tax experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Experience supporting external audits
- Familiarity with lender and investor reporting
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, lookups, complex workbooks)
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Desired Qualifications
- Ideally in real estate, investment, or private equity
- Experience with Yardi or similar accounting systems
