Job Summary
Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining general ledger accuracy and performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities in accordance with deadlines, preparing supporting schedules for financial reporting and analysis. Partner with marina, hospitality, and property operations teams to understand business activities, analyze transactions under U.S. GAAP, and explain financial trends to management. Support annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, and ERP optimization initiatives to strengthen internal controls and improve processes. Collaborate across departments for accurate accounting of revenues, expenses, inventory, and leases. This hands-on role serves as a trusted financial business partner to operations in a growing, multi-entity organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Demonstrated experience preparing journal entries
- Demonstrated experience reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Demonstrated experience managing the month-end close process
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working in a multi-entity environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within hospitality, marina, real estate, property management, or other multi-location service organizations
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Quickbooks, or similar platforms
- CPA designation
