Senior Accountant II

Job Summary
Senior Accountant II responsible for executing complex accounting tasks, preparing journals and reconciliations, coordinating monthly close, and producing reports. Analyzes data to identify trends, provides insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency, and ensures accuracy and compliance with company standards. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve processes, mentors junior team members, and supports continuous improvement initiatives through effective problem solving and clear communication. Partners with Vistra personnel to meet reporting deadlines and participates in special projects as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting or related field
- Experience preferred in the Energy industry, but not required
- Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems
- Strong financial analysis, problem solving & communication skills
- Process improvement oriented
- Fundamental understanding of the accounting close process
