Job Summary
Monitor, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts while performing research to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements. Lead month-end closing activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals, and prepare financial statements for internal and external reporting. Review account coding, verify transaction accuracy, and provide income tax support. Maintain procedural documentation, lead technical accounting analysis for assets and M&A, and mentor team members. Work remotely across 40+ states.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 4+ years equivalent professional work experience
- 3+ years' public accounting experience
- 5+ years' corporate accounting experience
- application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- equivalent combination of technical and functional experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Knowledge of SEC rules
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Act requirements
- Knowledge of quarterly, annual and periodic external reporting processes of 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K and other SEC filings
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient with SAP
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Desired Qualifications
- CPA preferred
- eligibility to sit for the CPA within the first six months of employment
