Job Summary

Senior Accountant responsible for a full-charge general ledger, recording financial transactions, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring GAAP compliance. Responsibilities include payment processing for A/P and reimbursements, maintenance of project codes and third-party systems, managing company credit card accounts and reconciliations, banking activities and reconciliations, Capital Asset accounting, journalizing monthly activity and payroll, participating in month-end and year-end close, audit preparation, budgeting support, data imports into budgeting platforms, and providing financial reports. Strong emphasis on accuracy, documentation, and collaboration within the Accounting/Finance team. Proficiency in Excel and Word; familiarity with Apple/Mac environments is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business management or equivalent required experience
  • A minimum of five years’ experience with responsibility processing transactions, posting into the general ledger and subledgers as well as performing month and year end processes
  • Intermediate or higher experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables or v-lookups
