Job Summary
Senior Accountant I, Accounting at Invenergy responsible for monitoring, accounting, reporting and analysis of intercompany, debt and equity activities; prepare financial statements and schedules; assist with audits and close procedures; coordinate project treasury and cash flow; interact with Project Managers, Development, Finance and Treasury; requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 3+ years of accounting experience; GAAP knowledge; strong Excel/Word; energy-industry experience preferred; base pay $92k-$110k with bonus potential; located in Chicago, IL (onsite) with standard benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP
- Technologically-savvy with strong Microsoft Office skills, esp. Excel and Word
- Ability to adhere to monthly, quarterly and annual department deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and work independently and in a team environment
- Strong coordination/organization skills and attention to timelines
- Experience in energy industry preferred
- SEC Company or Public accounting firm experience preferred
